The CURT Replacement Weight Distribution Shank is compatible with all CURT weight distribution hitches. It can be used to replace a damaged shank or to give your Weight Distribution Hitch greater flexibility in vertical adjustment. It features a standard 2″ shank, multiple mounting options, and high-strength construction that is fully tested for tough jobs and harsh conditions. The 2″ horizontal shank is designed to fit any 2″ x 2″ trailer hitch receiver. This makes it the perfect choice for most CURT class 3 hitches, class 4 hitches, or Xtra-Duty class 5 hitches. The shank features rounded edges for easier insertion into the receiver tube, and it has a 5/8″ diameter hole to accept a hitch pin or hitch lock for secure mounting in the receiver. This particular weight distribution shank is 20-3/4″H x 12″L overall. Each hole in the vertical shank has a 3/4″ dia. and is spaced 1-1/4″ apart for a wide range of incremental adjustment of the weight distribution head. This shank provides a maximum drop of 14-1/2″ (not designed for use in rise position).This CURT replacement shank features solid steel construction for maximum strength, and it’s covered in a highly durable carbide black powder-coat finish, giving it long-lasting protection against rain, road salt, and rust.
